Aerial Photography
Pictures of the ground taken from high altitudes belong to what's often known as aerial photography. All kinds of platforms might be employed here ; from kites, poles and parachutes to 'copters, dirigibles, balloons and planes. The history of this kind of photography business started in the mid-nineteenth century France with the balloonist Gaspard Felix Tournachon. In time, all types of motion picture cameras were mounted on aircrafts, particularly for the regiment and purposes of security.
